LEGO movie sequel release date pushed back to 2019

Warner Bros has delayed the release date of the upcoming LEGO movie sequel to February 2019.

The sequel was originally planned for release on May 18th, 2018, but this has now been pushed back to February 8th, 2019.

No reason has been given by the firm for the nine-month delay, meaning the next LEGO film to hit cinemas will be the LEGO Batman film in February 2017, reports The Hollywood Reporter.

This will be closely followed by the movie Ninjango, which will reach screens in September 2017.
