Licensees celebrate 80 years of The Phantom with special anniversary lines

A raft of licensees have launched special anniversary products celebrating 80 years of King Features’ The Phantom.

Many licensees are commemorating the anniversary by incorporating the anniversary logo on packaging, while others have developed original 80th anniversary products.

Bradford Exchange has launched commemorative medallion collection, Frew Publications is debuting special edition comic books, Funko is giving The Phantom the pop vinyl treatment while Ikon Collectibles is launching resin figures.

Shortly after his 1936 debut in the US, The Phantom was introduced to Australia in the Australian Women’s Weekly and was an instant success. 

In Australia, Perth Bullion is launching an official anniversary 1 oz. proof-quality .999 pure silver limited-edition ‘Phantasy’ collectable coin while the Australia Post will collaborate with Perth Bullion on a unique first day cover stamp and coin presentation set for release in Q3 2016.
