launches The Power 50

The Powerlist is making its return this BLE season with a new name, new angle and a fresh new look at the industry, celebrating the Most Influential People in the Licensing Industry 2018.

The Power 50 will be bringing together the best-loved elements of The People Awards and the Powerlist in the ultimate celebration of the people working behind the scenes to drive the innovation of the licensing business.

The Power 50 will celebrate the 50 most influential people in licensing across categories including Rising Stars, Licensing Legends, Licensors, Licensees and Licensing Agents, and is calling on you to cast your votes. is asking members from across the industry – any aspect of licensing, from design and creative businesses, to licensors and licensees – to nominate their top three picks in each of the five categories, to help us compile this year’s definite Most Influential list.

The categories being celebrated are:

Licensing Legends: Celebrating the stalwarts of the industry, we will be looking at the biggest names in licensing with key figures whose careers span 25 years or more in the business of licensing.

Rising Stars: Key players in driving innovation in the industry while showcasing huge potential and flare for the business. We will be championing the characters who have been active in the licensing community for three years and under.

Licensors: The brand owners, studio executives pushing new and exciting boundaries for the industry.

Licensees: Innovating the arena through some of today’s most engaging brand partnerships and products. We’re looking for personalities across experiential, digital, consumer products and anything you think is totally out there…

Licensing Agents: Those with the keenest eye for the snappiest and most ideal brand partnership. If they have the foresight for what makes a great product partnership, while strengthening brands in the market, we want to know about them.

All votes will be collated and The Power 50 will be revealed in full at this year’s Brand Licensing Europe where will be championing those that continue to push the envelope in driving the creativity, innovation and of course, success of the world of licensing.
