2-dream adds The Koogles

Agency adds new collectible character series; teams up with The Thinktank Emporium.

2-dream has picked up worldwide rights for new collectible character brand The Koogles.

The deal includes TV, digital, merchandising, licensing and publishing. The firm is aiming to turn Koogles into a multi-platform brand for tweens and teens.

2-dream will be teaming up with The Thinktank Emporium on a new venture to boost the brand. The newly formed partnership will build upon both companies' business networks, developing IP rights worldwide. The Thinktank Emporium will handle the North American market.

Aurora World is already on board and will be producing plush and gifts for launch in 2011.

"The Koogles characters are very appealing," said 2-dream's president, Armelle Madelin. "We have already earmarked the publishing and toy sectors. The plan now is for Koogles to ultimately become a multi-platform brand, with the first books to be released soon.

"There may also be an opportunity to revisit plans for a Koogles animated series."
