Adidas Originals partners with Monster for new line of headphones

Drawing on Adidas' heritage and association with music, the new range will be available from February.

Adidas Originals has partnered with Monster to develop a new line of high-performance headphones.

The new range will draw on the heritage of the brand and its ongoing association with the music scene, stemming from its Run DMC days through to its current association with music celebrities such as Kanye West and A$AP Rocky.

Jochen Denninger, VP licensing and marketing cooperation at Adidas, said: "We chose to partner with Noel, the head Monster, because of his innovation and audio expertise to design the best headphones in the world.

"He has created an exciting visual and audio experience for Adidas Originals fans that is exceptional and unique to the marketplace."

Noel Lee, the head Monster, added: "We are honoured to have been chosen by Adidas to create this new line of products.

"Adidas, like Monster has a strong heritage in style and technology. In fact, we have many parallels. Both companies were founded entrepreneurially with a singular focus on creativity, innovation and style."

The Adidas Originals by Monster line of headphones will feature in ear and over ear. The range will be available from the end of February 2014.
