ART & DESIGN MONTH: Santoro preps Gorjuss for Vegas showcase

New categories for fine art brand to be discussed at show; firm also looking to expand drive in Europe.

Santoro will be opening discussions on a range of categories - including character collectables and housewares - for its Gorjuss brand when it exhibits at Licensing International next month.

Over the past year, the Gorjuss product range has been developing and expanding a pace, with Santoro spearheading the programme with its own greetings cards, stationery, gifts and fashion accessories.

Such was demand, additional stock had to be air freighted into the UK in order to keep pace as key lines sold out towards the end of 2010.

Licensed categories already signed up include cross stitch and tapestry kits, papercraft, rubber stamps, chocolates, calendar, postcards and jigsaw puzzles among others. Partners include Bon Bon Buddies, Pictura and Ravensburger.

"Gorjuss is already selling successfully in 25 countries," explained Jo Campbell, general manager at Santoro Licensing, "which is very exciting as we've never experienced such fast international growth with a brand before."

At Licensing International - where the firm will be on booth 3879 - Santoro will be discussing character collectables and keepsakes, jewellery, housewares, wall décor, publishing, media accessories, fashion apparel and beauty products. It is also expecting continued interest in the arts and crafts area.

As well as the UK, licensing partners are on board in France, Spain, Northern Europe, Switzerland, Malta, Chile and Australia. Santoro is looking to expand the brand further into Europe, as well as the US, Mexico, Brazil and Australasia.
