The RSPCA licensing programme continues to expand, with Aurora World signing up to produce a range of plush toys.

In July, the animal protection charity unveiled a new style guide to boost the brand's licensing potential, and is now aiming 'to make strong inroads as a trusted and high quality brand into a number of categories.'

RSPCA trading manager Cathy Snow said: "The Aurora range is not only appealing, cuddly and beautifully designed but actively promotes RSPCA values and underlines our commitment to all animals.

"We are sure the range will be popular at retail, where contributions from its sales will help boost funding of essential RSPCA work to prevent cruelty and promote kindness to animals."

The initial line of plush toys will come in six categories:

Farm animals (cow, pig, sheep, donkey)
Puppies (schnauzer, spaniel, beagle, border collie)
Pets (black and white cat, poddle, tabby cat, dachshund)
Woodland (fox, squirrel, rabbit, deer)
Wild animals (lion, elephant, giraffe, tiger)

Verity Groom of Aurora Marketing said: "We are thrilled to have the opportunity to work with one of this country’s most respected and loved charities and a brand known and recognised everywhere.

"We are certain this delightful and educational range of animal plush will be a popular present throughout the Christmas period and beyond."
