There's finally some good news for Entertainment Rights this morning - the company has revealed that the BBC has commissioned a second series of Basil's Swap Shop.
The series airs for a 12-week run on CBBC on Saturday mornings (10am-11am). The show will go out live for 11 weeks, followed by a 'best of' episiode comprising highlights from the live shows.
The show includes a mix of interactive and comedy-based entertainment, jokes, sketches, music and games. Basil will be joined each week by celebrity guests, visiting the Swap Shop to trade their goods with children.
"We are delighted that the BBC has commissioned The Foundation to produce a second series of Basil's Swap Shop," said Chloe van den Berg, executive director international at Entertainment Rights. "Today's announcement demonstrates ER's strong relationship with CBBC and its ongoing commitment to Basil Brush.
"We have no doubt that Basil will continue to entertain generations of children."
