Animal charity Battersea Dogs & Cats Home has added a further two partners to its growing licensing programme.

Marbel has signed up to produce a range of plush, as well as wooden toys, while Octopus Books will be publishing the Battersea Dogs & Cats Home Guide to choosing the best dog for you in 2013.

The new partners join existing licensees including Ravensburger, Portico, Random House Children's Books, The Bradford Exchange and Woodmansterne Publications.

"We are extremely excited to be developing a range of BDCH plush products to help raise the profile of a charity that has such a long history of outstanding commitment to improving the welfare of animals in need," said Marbel director, Christoph Bettin.

Lucy McCredie, licensing consultant for Battersea Dogs & Cats Home, added: "We are delighted to add Marbel and Octopus to our licensing programme. These licence agreements are very important to the Home, as royalties from the licensed products will support Battersea in caring for thousands of lost, unwanted and abandoned dogs and cats every year."
