BLE 2010: Withit to introduce new Doodles brand

Lifestyle property to expand with arrival of new characters and 'sketched' look.

A new collection of Withit Doodles will be joining existing characters such as Cheeky Monkey, Glamour Puss and Mad Cow in the firm's portfolio at Brand Licensing Europe.

The Classic Withit characters will be shown in an all UK-themed style at the event, focusing on the top performers and making a number of references to UK places and traditions.

Withit Doodles, meanwhile, will feature new characters and a new 'sketched' look highlighted with watercolour effects. They will be launched in a series of six books for children, while the firm is also hopeful the characters will have strong appeal in the gift and card market.

"The past 18 months have seen the Withit brand grow at an amazing speed in Eurppe and the Middle East, as well as Latin America," said Brad Caines, creative director at the firm. "But we are seeing new awareness and interest here in the UK, as we launch a brand new range of Withit Doodles characters in a new look and format."

Withit initially started as a retail business selling licensed t-shirts and gifts back in 1991.
