BLE 2011: Seven Stories signs up for Jacqueline Wilson

New merchandise to be created to tie in with Daydreams and Diaries exhibition.

Author Jacqueline Wilson and illustrator Nick Sharratt are to work with Seven Stories on a new line of merchandise.

The new range - which ties in with the new exhibition, Daydreams and Diaries: The Story of Jacqueline Wilson - includes a commemorative exhibition poster, a set of six postcards and six designs of a button badge featuring the characters from Wilson's work.

"We're hugely grateful to Jacky and Nick, and to Start Licensing, for co-operating with us to produce what is our first venture into licensed merchandise," said Steve Robinson, commercial manager at Seven Stories. "Their generosity will allow us to generate much needed income for Seven Stories, allowing us to continue bringing children's books to life."

Copyrights launched the Jacqueline Wilson licensing programme at Brand Licensing 2004 ? and pretty much immediately it became clear that this was going to be a brand with longevity. Portico had already enjoyed success with its stationery ranges in both Sainsbury?s and WH Smith, so ?Jacqueline Wilson: The Brand? was off to a good start.
