Bluebirds Brands is gearing up to launch a wide range of product based on TV ad star Monkey.

The company has signed a deal with Bulldog Licensing to create items including fashion bags, laptop bags, plush bags and purses, plus a homewares line featuring aprons, hot water bottles, mugs and tea towels.

"Monkey is a huge brand, but there is very little licensed merchandise out there so we are delighted to have signed this new deal," said Rachel Needs, brands and licensing director at Bluebird Brands. "We are planning a very exciting and innovative range and Monkey's huge popularity means that it will go down an absolute storm when it hits the shelves."
