Bradford Licensing has added new tween television show The Wannabes to its portfolio.

The show, which is due to make its international debut in early 2010, stars the Texas-based musical group Savvy. It is being licensed by Showcase Entertainment and has so far been placed in over 30 countries. Episodes have been picked up by ABC Australia, Noga Communications in Israel, the Netherlands, Italy, Turkey and RTL Disney in Germany.

The Wannabes will be shopped for domestic distribution after filming of the first four episodes currently in production.

"We are thrilled to have Bradford Licensing come on board to handle the branding and licensing of our new TV tween sitcom, The Wannabes," said executive producer Christine LeMaire. "Filming is exceeding everyone's expectations and we are excited about the show's launch and its most promising future.

"We know that the licensing aspect of the show will contribute to fan loyalty and help grow the brand."
