BWI picks up merchandise and licensing rights for new animation series.

Brands with Influence is continuing to bolster its portfolio - snapping up the merchandise and licensing rights to new children's animation, The Feelings.

The Feelings features a range of characters representing different human emotions.

UK-based animation studio CharacterShop will be animating the series. The firm's latest show for Cbeebies - Woolly and Tig - is currently the most requested children's programme on the BBC iPlayer.

"We fell in love with the characters the moment we saw them," explained Martin Lowde, MD and founder of BWI. "Alan [Batson] has created a range of fantastic figures that really sum up human emotions in a comical, endearing and exciting way. This, combined with Len's [Uhley] incredible story telling lends itself perfectly to product development and licensing."

Chris Jolly, MD of The Feelings, added: "We had worked with BWI on previous brand exploitations, and have found them to be innovative, effective and committed to driving a great range of products. They are providing a valuable contribution to our business as the series develops."

The pilot for The Feelings will be available for viewing later this year, with BWI exhibiting at Brand Licensing Europe in October.
