Bulldog Licensing has teamed with NJ Screen Prints to launch a new apparel range based on the hit collectable brand, Shopkins.
Centred on a collection of 140 shopping-inspired characters, Shopkins has already built a ‘huge presence at UK retail’ since launching last year.
Despite only being on the market for a few months, the brand has sparked interest, fuelled by online activity that has seen over 13 million hits on the Shopkins YouTube channel.
And according to Bulldog, UK retailers are already struggling to keep lines in stock, calling on supplies to be airlifted in to fulfill consumer demand.
“Shopkins is one of the hottest collectables out there at present and is topping the sales charts right across the retail landscape,” said Rob Corney, Bulldog Group MD.
The new deal with NJ Screen Prints will see the apparel range launch across the UK and Ireland, and follows recent deals with Pedigree and DJ Murphy for published titles, Winning Moves for Top Trumps and Whitehouse Leisure for amusement plush.
“This apparel range will have huge appeal and I am confident it will be a strong seller when it hits the shelves,” concluded Corney.
