Bulldog Licensing to handle hit video game brands in the US and Canada

Firm signs sub-agency deal with Game of 2 Halves for Saints Row and Dead Island.

Bulldog Licensing will represent video games brand Saints Row and Dead Island in the US and Canada, after securing a sub-agency deal with global representative Game of 2 Halves.

Both properties are produced by Deep Silver and are targeted at a core audience of 18-34 year old males. Both have potential across sectors including apparel, accessories, books, posters and collectables.

Saints Row has built up a strong worldwide fanbase, with nearly 1.5 million Facebook likes. Saints Row IV, the latest instalment in the series, sold more than one million units in a week of launch last summer.

Dead Island, meanwhile, consists of two games - Dead Island and Dead Island Riptide - with the latest in the series, Dead Island Epidemic, due to launch imminently. The original game was the second biggest new video game IP launch of the last four years.

"We are very excited by the licensing potential of these titles as they are hugely popular with gamers across the US, so there is a ready-made fanbase just waiting to snap up product," said Laurie Windrow from Bulldog Licensing. "We are actively engaged with potential licensees for apparel and accessories, toys, figures, collectables, posters, electronics and accessories."
