Bulldog's Super Why proving popular

Agent signs up two new licensing deals, as viewing figures keep rising.

With the show currently performing strongly on Nick Jr, Bulldog Licensing is making the most of the popularity of Super Why, wasting no time in signing up two new deals.

Cesar is now on board for hanging and boxed dress-up, while Melbry Events is handling mall tours. Indeed, the company is planning an Easter appearance at Sheffield's Meadowhall complex, with kids getting the chance to meet the characters and broadcast material being shown on the big screen in the food hall to the million plus weekly visitors.

RC2 is also on board as master toy licensee.

"Having two such well established names as Cesar and Melbry Events on board is fantastic news and clearly demonstrates the potential of Super Why in licensing terms," said Bulldog MD, Rob Corney. "The show itself is hugely popular and I'm confident that there will be plenty more to come from Super Why."

Super Why - created by Out of the Blue Enterprises - is one of the biggest shows on Nick Jr, regularly bringing in more than 180,000 viewers and peaking at over 230,000. It is stripped across the channel's weekday schedule at a prime 6pm slot.
