Carte Blanche makes gaming move

Me To You brand to roll out to games and content industry after deal with AT New Media.

Greetings and gifts company Carte Blanche has appointed AT New Media to help move its Me To You brand into the video games and content industry.

The firm is now seeking third party multi-platform licensing deals worldwide. Platforms will include social media, mobile greetings, mobile handsets, casual games, creative software and console games.

The annual worldwide retail sales value of Me To You merchandise is due to exceed $1 billion this year, and there is a large bank of assets and artwork for licensees to use.

"Me To You is a pre-eminent brand in the greetings and gifts sector and sales of Me To You branded merchandise, either distributed by Carte Blanche or licensed to third party distributors, continue to grow worldwide," said Roger Murphy, CEO of Carte Blanche. "AT New Medi came highly recommended to realise the increasing potential of Me To You in the ever expanding interactive media applications market."

Simon Kay, business development director at AT New Media, added: "It is high time that a strategic and proactive approach was initiated for Tatty Teddy and Me To You within the digital media market."
