CBS to launch new novel based on popular TV series, Reign

CBS Consumer Products and Poppy are gearing up for the release of a full-length novel based on the popular television series, Reign.

Entitled Reign: The Prophecy, the new book was announced at the San Diego Comic Convention during a panel with the stars of the show.

Written by Lily Blake, the novel will be available in both paperback and eBook.

Reign explores the world of Mary, Queen of Scots as she attempts to balance her roles as Queen, royal fiancée, wife to the future King of France and friend to her ladies in waiting.

“Reign proved to be an addictive hit last season,” said Liz Kalodner, executive vice president and general manager of CBS Consumer Products.

“We know the show’s fans will be excited to follow the lives of their favourite characters in this novel as they anxiously await the show’s return this fall.”

Reign: The Prophecy follows the digital original short story, Reign: Darkness Rises and will be available from September 23 this year.

Aimed at fans aged 12 and upwards, the new title will retail at $14.99 in paperback form and $9.99 in its eBook format.
