Chrysalis Music - one of the largest independent music publishers in the UK - is teaming up with Corporate Creative Licensing to represent its music catalogue for licensing.
Chrysalis, which has just celebrated its 40th anniversary in the music business, is seeking new ways to exploit its catalogue and was impressed by CCL's innovative initiatives in this area with the likes of Mothercare (click here for story) and Marks & Spencer.
"It [Chrysalis] is truly one of the great music publishing companies and we look forward to offering fans a channel to connect with the artists' music and creative vision," said Michael Gottlieb, head of licensing at CCL.
Chris Wright, chairman of Chrysalis, added: "We see ourselves as copyright owners and a company that wants to develop talent from the ground floor through our ownership of copyrights. This partnership will provide incremental revenue and we are excited by this association."
