Danilo has detailed a number of changes among its sales team as long serving sales chief, Chris James announces his retirement after 18 years with the business.

James will step down from his post on June 30th but will remain on the Danilo boars as a full director.

The move has been detailed by Danilo chairman, Laurence Prince.

“It’s been a privilege and a pleasure working in and with everyone in this industry, but above all I have loved being part of the fantastic team at Danilo,” said James.

“Laurence is a truly unique entrepreneur, inspirational, unconventional, uncompromisingly loyal to everyone that works for him and I am delighted to call him a friend.

“We have certainly had some fun together along the way.”

Meanwhile, Brett Smith has joined as the firm’s new head of sales, having spent 20 years with Clinton cards and leaving as director. He most recently held tenure at Pioneer Europe.

“Brett is hugely experienced in the retail, sales and supply side and he is known for his strong commercial management, motivational skills and an excellent leader,” added James.

“I have had my eye on Brett for years because he has worked in so many facets of the industry.”
