Character World bolsters head count

Brand and marketing team expanded with significant new hires.

Homewares licensee Character World has bolstered its brand and marketing team.

Jenny Cainer (pictured) has been appointed as marketing manager. She will work closely with licensors and the company's senior brand managers to develop new business initiatives across the UK and EMEA.

Meanwhile, Becky Langer joins from Hit Entertainment, taking on the role of senior brand manager. Based in London, Langer will be responsible for building and maintaining key partnerships.

Following three years as senior licensing executive, Sarah Harding has been promoted to senior brand manager, responsible for Disney and Marvel.

"It's positive to see such rapid business growth in an economic climate which is stil heavily affected by the recession," commented Tim Kilby, brand director at Character World. "The brand and marketing team has doubled in size in the past three months, and the new senior brand manager appointments will help us capitalise on our fantastic brand portfolio and licensor relationships, ensuring long-term growth.
