The owners of Character World - brothers Danny and Mark Schweiger - have been honoured by Sir Richard Branson at a special invitation-only awards event at his home.
The event was organised for companies on the Sunday Times Fast Track 100 league table, which Virgin sponsors.
Last year, Character World added a sports division, which now boasts the Arsenal licence, as well as a brands division for licences including Roxy and Bench. Sales grew 60 per cent a year from £5.1 million in 2005 to £20.8 million in 2008.
"To be listed alongside so many other high profile UK companies is a testament to the success and commitment of our team," said Danny Schweiger, joint MD at Character World. "We've driven sales up year on year and have exciting plans for additional licences and products to ensure we continue to grow in 2010.
"Mark and I had a fantastic time at the event - it's not often you get to have tea with Sir Richard Branson."
