Character World has been ranked as one of the UK's fastest growing companies in the Sunday Times Virgin Fast Track 100.
The directors of the company will be attending a special awards dinner with Virgin boss, Sir Richard Branson, to pick up the accolade.
The league table acknowledges private companies in the UK which have experienced rapid growth in sales over the last three years.
Character World was chosen on the basis of its sales growing at an annual rate of 59.65 per cent from 2005 to the end of 2008. The firm now employs 50 people at its headquarters in Cheadle.
"We've experienced steady growth over our ten-year history and since receiving investment from a private equity firm just over 18 months ago, we have exceeded all our sales targets," said joint MD Mark Schweiger. "Our inclusion in the league table shows the business is on track for growth and, more importantly, at a rate that is sustainable.
"We have a fantastic team at Character World and our inclusion in this prestigious listing is a real credit to their hard work."
