After gracing a plethora of items across a range of sectors, the Hello Kitty brand is once again dipping a toe in the alcohol industry.

Following Hello Kitty wine, a new Hello Kitty beer has been created by a brewer in Taiwan and is currently distributed there and in China, states ABC News.

The beer comes in a range for fruit flavours including banana, lemon and lime, passion fruit and peach, and has an alcohol content of 2.3 to 2.8 per cent.

Aimed at Chinese women, the canned beverage is being marketed to customers who have grown up with the brand, which turns 40 next year.

There are no plans to market the Hello Kitty beer outside of China.
