Coolabi has appointed Nicholas James as a new non-executive director.
James was previously CEO of Chorion until July 2007. He divides his time between the UK and Hong Kong and consults for companies in both of these territories and in China.
William Harris, chairman of Coolabi, said: "Nick is a great addition to the board. He has vast experience in the acquisition, creative development, management and exploitation of intellectual property assets and this will be invaluable to Coolabi as we continue to progress our acquisition strategy and accelerate the growth of the company."
James added: "I am delighted to be joining Coolabi. I believe that the IP sector presents many acquisition and growth opportunities across a broad range of IP and that Coolabi is ideally placed to grow into a major UK-based player in IP ownership and management over the next few years.
"I am really looking forward to working with the rest of the board to help the company achieve this aim."
