Entertainment producer and rights management firm Coolabi has appointed Valerie Fry as director of sales.
She will report to CEO Jeremy Banks and will be responsible for the commercial exploitation of Coolabi's key brands, and growing portfolio of properties, including Poppy Cat, Purple Ronnie and Scarlett & Crimson.
Fry has vast experience with entertainment brands. She was previously commercial director at Chapman Entertainment, looking after properties like Raa Raa the Noisy Lion.
She has also worked at Celador as senior commercial manager and VP of licensing at Gullane Entertainment.
A statement read: "Following the management buyout last year, Coolabi’s activity has grown considerably across its licensing and production divisions, with the rest of 2012 and 2013 promising to be the company’s busiest time yet."
Jeremy Banks, Chief Executive at Coolabi, added: "Val has an impressive track record in working on major international brands and she is going to be a great asset to Coolabi.
"We are delighted to have secured someone of her calibre as we continue to grow our portfolio and gear up for increased commercial activity both in the UK and worldwide."
