DC Comics has partnered with the UFC to create a special promotional poster to mark 2014’s big fighting event, UFC 181.

The poster features UFC’s four main event fighters, Anthony Pettis, Gilbert Melendez, Johny Hendricks and Robbie Lawler throwing punches in the style of Superman, Batman or the Green Lantern.

Artist and lifelong MMA fan, Howard Porter worked with colourist Alex Sinclair to create the artwork that debuted on Friday at the UFC 181 pre-fight press conference, reports Fox Sports.

“I was pinching myself,” said Porter. “After I stopped doing backflips around the house, I just couldn’t believe it because I am such a big fan of MMA. I didn’t think an opportunity like this would come along in my lifetime.”

The cover will now be used ahead of UFC 181 that takes place on December 6th in Las Vegas.
