Jo Rose, creator of the UK brand Deer Little Forest has appointed Think Tank Emporium as licensing agent for the US and Canada.

Think Tank will represent all licensing rights in the territory (excluding TV and publishing, which are managed by Koko Media).

The whimsical and charming UK brand will be presented to the United States and Canada for the first time at Licensing Expo next month.

Joan Packard Luks and David Wollos from Think Tank commented: “We are so pleased to be introducing Deer Little Forest to the North American market. This outstanding concept is sure to stand out and generate a lot of interest. Jo’s beautifully handcrafted, artistic style will translate beautifully across many categories, from gifts and stationery to soft furnishings and toys.”

Rose added: “I am so excited to be working with Joan and David, especially as they share both my enthusiasm and vision for my forest family. With these shared values, and their long-standing experience in the industry, I’m sure that Deer Little Forest has found a perfect American home.”

Launched as a licensing brand at BLE in 2013, Deer Little Forest has generated an impressive roster of deals over the last year, including several international stationery deals, a first apparel deal and the launch of 16 card designs across the UK in leading retailer Paperchase.

It is also being developed as a pre-school picture book series, with the first book The Animal Moon Parade due this summer, and five more in development. The stories are entertaining and gently educational, with themes ranging from the forest Ecosystem (Bee Happy!) to mayhem and magic on Halloween (Mischief Night!). A TV series is in development as well.

Worldwide rights excluding the US and Canada are managed by Lisa Hryniewicz at Koko Media.
