The agreement between Entertainment Rights and RHI International Distribution means the feature film will be distributed around the world across both pay and free TV platforms. The deal also entitles ER to distributing the film on home video, except in the US.
Chloe van den Berg, director of international sales for Entertainment Rights said: “Entertainment Rights is unveiling Dinotopia to international broadcasters for the first time at Mipcom this coming October”.
“The Dinotopia franchise has had great success within publishing as well as spawning a TV series and this one off animated movie is anticipated to deliver strong sales as part of Entertainment Rights fourth quarter line up of programming,” Berg said.
Dinotopia is a 75-minute movie aimed at six to 11 year-olds. Produced by RHI Entertainment (formerly Hallmark Entertainment) back in 2005, the film follows the publishing success of 20 books, a TV series and a number of computer games.
