Chocolate Rain's new art and design property - Fatina Dreams - has struck its first two deals in the licensing industry.

Gemma International will be producing greetings cards and stationery in the UK for launch in June 2011, while Netherlands-based New Edition B.V will be rolling out back to school products in 2012.

"We had been looking at Fatina Dreams for sometime after a Far East sourcing trip," commented Tim Rudd-Clarke of Gemma. "Our product team fell in love with the look and feel of this brand and, when we explored further, we felt there was also a very relevant message behind the brand that had a strong connection with our consumers.

"In the end Fatina was a must for Gemma International."

New Edition's Margriet Timmerman added: "We wanted to bring something new and fresh to the market with a high-end design approach, and we found that in Fatina Dreams."

CEO of Chocolate Rain, Mandy Chiu, said: "We are so excited to be launching our first products with these fantastic, high quality companies."
