FME bags Bang on the Door rights

Licensing and interactive rights acquired in Eastern Europe, Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

FremantleMedia Enterprises has secured the licensing and interactive rights to UK design property Bang on the Door.

The agreement covers Eastern Europe, Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

FME will now be looking to grow the popular brand through various categories including apparel, accessories, home decor, stationery, beauty and gifting.

"The quality of the characters and the way fans engage with the brand is really exciting," said Diana Dieckmann, VP of licensing, Germany and Eastern Europe, FME. "It's colourful, it's friendly and the wonderful style guide gives so many opportunities to create beautiful products. Bang on the Door is such a strong brand already and it is an honour to work with the two designers, Karen Duncan and Samantha Stringle."

Ian Downes, MD of Start Licensing, added: "We are keen to grow Bang on the Door's activities internationally and FME are well qualified to take things forward for us. They recognise the originality of Bang on the Door and its commercial potential."
