Fruit Shoot line expands with new reduced sugar squeezy jam

Streamline Foods is to launch a new range of Fruit Shoot less sugar squeezy jams, produced under licence from Britvic.

The line will be made up of three flavours to mirror the Fruit Shoot drinks range: Apple & Blackcurrant, Strawberry & Summer Fruits and Orange.

Each product will contain 30 per cent less sugar than standard jams, and be made with 45 per cent fruit. The jams will also be completely smooth, to appeal to children, and contain no artificial colours, flavours or sweeteners.

"This is the first child-friendly product we have produced, and we believe it will fly off the shelves," said Séverine Brault, marketing manager at Streamline Foods. "Parents are increasingly looking for ways to reduce their children's sugar intake, while the kids themselves are more concerned with how it tastes.

"The squeezy Fruit Shoot jams tick both boxes and retail buyers have said they are pleased to see true innovation happening in the category.

"It's also the first time we have worked with Britvic to produce something under licence and we are very optimistic about its success."
