The styles of Sanrio's Hello Kitty and the Momiji message dolls are to combine after the two firms joined forces.

A special collection of six Momiji dolls are now available, while everyday essentials or 'zakka' - a Japanese word meaning bits and pieces - will launch in July.

Inside each doll is a tiny folded card for girls to include their own secret message, dream or wish. The dolls' outfits are also accessoried with a Hello Kitty piece, such as headphones and an electric guitar.

"This collaboration is sure to bring fashion flutters to the hearts of Momiji and Sanrio collectors around the world," said Claire Rowlands, creative director at Momiji.

The zakka collection includes accessories such as a notebook, a gel pen, a zip up pouch and a ring binder.
