Golden Goose reveals record year for growth

Specialist licensed boutique has confirmed three new client wins in the past three weeks, as well as adding to head count.

Specialist boutique licensing agency Golden Goose has reported a record year of growth - showing the increasing importance of household corporate brands in the business.

In the past three weeks, the firm has announced three new client wins including Flymo, Maison Blanc and Men's Health. These join existing clients RSPB and Tetley.

Account director, Antonia Habdank-Toczyska - who joined from The Licensing Company in 2011 - said: "We are very excited about all client wins, but Men's Health really stands out as this is a pan-European client, giving us the opportunity to explore new markets where the magazine is successful, in particular Germany, Spain, France and Italy."

Golden Goose has also grown its staff head count to cope with the extra business, with account director Martin Clark joining the firm from Beanstalk earlier this year.

With new programmes launching in the fitness and nutrition, gardening and bakery sectors, Golden Goose is looking to continue to grow the successful programmes for Tetley and RSPB. It is aiming for another record year in 2013/2014, with broad interest from a wide range of manufacturers.

"Health and fitness is a massively growing category and so we have great expectations from Men's Health, but premium luxury brands like Maison Blanc never go out of fashion, so we're particularly looking forward to more tastings, while Flymo offers some exciting prospects for the gardening sector," said MD Adam Bass. "On top of this we're seeing huge growth in the environmental sector with RSPB and solid performance of Tetley's existing licensees."

New products planned for January 2014 include a range of fitness equipment and nutritional products, new garden equipment, high end desserts and more.
