Golden Goose has signed up to represent the City of New York's trademarks in an exclusive two-year deal covering the UK and Ireland.
The trademarks - including NYPD, FDNY and the black and yellow taxi - are already part of a successful licensing programme, appearing on apparel, die-cast and accessories.
Golden Goose is now seeking UK manufacturers and retailers to take the NYC brands into adult and kids apparel, gift sets and paper goods.
"New York is an idea as much as a great city, with an international reputation for cool, urban authenticity," said Mara Gardner, account director at Golden Goose. "These trademarks offer retailers a chance to reach out to a young urban population with a range of exciting products. We are already talking to a number of potential retailers and licensees.
"The NYPD trademarks create a great buzz at retail and can be tied into competitions and promotions centred around the city itself."
