Plush specialist Gund has sealed a deal with Universal Partnerships & Licensing for classic literary brand, Curious George.
Gund - which is a division of Enesco - will roll out Curious George plush in a range of sizes in time for the Christmas season.
"Curious George was my favourite book as a child, and I was thrilled to work with the book's co-author (Margret Rey) earlier in my career," said Bruce Raiffe, Gund president. "Gund is honoured once again to be producing huggable plush for one of literature's most beloved children's characters."
Cindy Chang, VP and general manager, Universal Partnerships & Licensing, added: "We are thrilled to have Gund join our Curious George licensing programme as our plush partner. With Gund as a cornerstone in our programme, we will have the opportunity to provide quality plush to Curious George's many fans."
