S4C International and C&M Licensing have secured a clothing deal for pre-school animation series Hana's Helpline.

A range of children's underwear, nightwear and socks aimed at children aged 12 months and over will be launched following a joint deal with apparel licensees Cooneen and Misirli. The line will be available from this autumn.

The deal was brokered by Ian Downes, MD of agency Start Licensing.

"Hana's Helpline fits the profile for any new licence acquisitions we have planned for the next few years," said Mike Coles, director at Cooneen. "Primarily it is different from all other licences in the pre-school category, in that it is very hand made and fabric orientated.

"This is also apparent in the toys and books produced by Golden Bear and Random House. We have a number of nightwear designs in for selection with our customers and in August product will launch in-store."
