HarperCollins gets Me to You

Children's book publisher acquires global publishing rights to non media brand.

HarperCollins Children's Books has signed a four year deal with Carte Blanche Greetings for the property famous for the grey bear with the blue nose, Tatty Teddy.

The agreement includes a variety of formats with personalised Me to You books set to be published later this year.

The brand has a mass global appeal with annual sales already gnerating £800 million wolrdwide.

HaperCollins plans to work closely with the property owner to ensure the brand's ever-increasing growth and development.

Claire Harding, brand and properties director, HarperCollins Children's Books, said: "A major strategic focus for HarperCollins is to expand our global licensing footprint; Me to You is one of the fastest growing global non media rands and so we are thrilled to team up to be the world wide publishing partner.
