Hello Kitty celebrates 35 years of success

Sanrio?s character marks her birthday with many events, parties and new product launches on a European Tour.

The European tour will start in Kitty's hometown, London and will kick off with High British Tea party and fashion show for London celebrities and journalists held at the stylish Sketch venue. The event will be opened by Sanrio’s president Mr. Kunihiko Tsuji.

Ms. Yuko Yamaguchi, Hello Kitty’s official designer, will also be presenting and signing her artwork in Harrods with similar events planned for Paris’ Gallery Lafayette, Milan’s shop of Camomilla and in Barcelona at the Sanrio’s Noguera shop.

Ms Yamaguchi will also meet Central Saint Martins’ students during a talk about the roots, history and artistic interpretations of Hello Kitty.

The tour will continue in Milan with an exclusive event from Chronotech watches. Chronotech has just signed a new agreement with Sanrio for watches so the event will celebrate the beginning of this collaboration and will see a number of celebrities and journalists attend.

M.A.S, the company behind Hello Kitty The Show will organise a press conference where they will present a multidimensional 3D simulation with set design and music produced by Poltronissima.

Then Hello Kitty will travel to Stockholm for a party for kids and mums at an H&M store organised in association with UNICEF and Mama magazine.
