Hoho Rights, the commercial arm of Hoho Entertainment, has appointed a new licensing agent for its property Toddler Time in the US and Canada.
Joan Packard Luks at the property and licensing agency, The Serenata Group will now represent the growing pre-school property across the region.
Toddler Time began as an interactive book called Toddler Treasury, followed soon after by Toddler Christmas. The book series has since sold over 750,000 copies worldwide.
In the US alone, the books – which are widely distributed by Barrons – have sold over 100,000 copies to date. As a result, Hoho Rights has confirmed that plans are already under way to grow the franchise with the introduction of new formats later this year.
Hoho Entertainment’s joint managing director, Helen Howells, said: “We are really looking forward to working with Joan on this delightful pre-school project.
“With over 20 years’ experience in the licensing and consumer products business and with a particularly keen eye for beautifully published properties, Joan is the perfect partner for Hoho and, more importantly, for the Toddler Time brand.
“Joan will be debuting Toddler Time to potential licensees and retailers at the forthcoming Licensing Expo in Las Vegas.”
