Iron Gut signs Betty Boop

Publishing house moves into licensing with multi-year deal with Allsorts.

Ambitious publishing firm Iron Gut is aiming to build its presence in the licensing sector, signing a multi-year deal with Allsorts to create a fine art programme for Betty Boop.

"We focus on well-loved classic brands and Betty is an iconic character who deserves her own fine art programme," said Anthony Marks, MD of Iron Gut. "Our stable of award winning British and American artists are relishing the thought of creating visually stunning pieces that will appeal to art collectors, as well as her existing fans."

John McInnerny, MD of Allsorts Licensing, added: "When looking for an animation art partner, the name that kept coming up was Iron Gut Publishing. We look forward to working with them on Betty Boop."
