The Sharpe Company - the US agent for Seven Towns and Rubik's Cube - has secured a deal with the Tollytots division of Jakks Pacific to create a line of early learning toys based on the puzzle.
The Rubik's Clever Kids pre-school line will aim to build on parental recognition of the brand and offers a different approach to developmental toys for children. The range will feature a variety of activities, while teaching developmental and motor skills through the use of colours, shapes and puzzle solving.
"The Rubik's Cube is more than just a toy; it is a cultural phenomenon that has inspired everything from art and culture to particle physics," said Darryl Wizenberg, president of Tollytots. "We are excited to tap into the enormous worldwide popularity, fascination and fun factor of the iconic Rubik's Cubes with a line of original and creative toys."
