Juventus FC signs major licensing deal with Italy's Rainbow Group

Rainbow Group has released details of a major new collaboration with the Italian football giant Juventus.

The entertainment studio has signed to act as the club’s agent for consumer products rights across Russia and CIS.

The football club, best known for its black and white jersey, is the longest sports property ownership of 94 years, by the Agnelli Family since 1923. It is the club’s underlying purpose to provide supporters with the highest level of enjoyment possible by continuing a winning tradition that has been established during its history.

As a result, Juventus is a global brand with fanbases within Russia and CIS.

This new deal now brings together two of the biggest names I Italy, as Rainbow also boasts a global reach as a multi-faceted entertainment powerhouse.

“We are incredibly excited about this new collaboration as Juventus is an iconic football club with growing presence in Russia and CIS which could be boosted by Rainbow experience in licensing in these territories,” said Matteo Olivetti, head of CP sales at Rainbow.

“This gives us a very solid platform to build on and we will be using our knowledge and experience of these territories to build a strong licensing programme that takes in a wide variety of categories.”

Luca Montesion, licensing manager of Juventus FC, added: “This agreement with a relevant partner such as Rainbow represents a further strategic step in the creation of an international network of licensing agents representing Juventus in the world.

“Thanks to Rainbow’s expertise in the Russian and CIS market, we are looking forward to exploring new opportunities and we are working closely together to develop a wide range of products to meet the needs of our fans as well as football enthusiasts in those territories.”
