Juventus Football Club is looking to step up its licensing game across a number of Asian territories as well as in Australia and New Zealand.

In a move to grow its licensing activity on a global scale, the Italian football club has named IMG as its licensing agent for the new regions.

The multi-year deal comes after Juventus was crowned Serie A champions for the fifth consecutive year last season and will see IMG represent the Turin-based side in Japan, China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan, in addition to Australia and New Zealand.

The firm will look to secure new partnerships across a number of sectors including apparel, accessories, automotive products, stationery, toys and food and drink.

Marcelo Cordeiro, licensing director at IMG, said: “Juventus is one of the biggest names in world football, with the club’s signature black and white stripes instantly recognisable to fans across the globe.

“We are delighted to be working with them on developing its licensing programme in these regions and building on the success of its record-equalling season.”

Luca Montesion, licensing executive at Juventus FC, added: “We are always looking at new ways of reaching our global fanbase and this agreement with IMG will help us to do this in these territories.

“We will work closely with them on developing an extensive range of consumer friendly products that will resonate widely with our passionate and loyal supporters.”
