The digital kids network Kabillion has announced the signing of two new shows.
First up, the Bratz show Passion for Fashion is a spin-off of the animated Bratz series - which is Kabillion's number one rated show - and is hosted by a panel of tween girls who discuss the latest fashion trends.
Nicolas Atlan, President of Kabillion, said: “The expansion of our content partnership with MGA Entertainment is a tremendous step forward for Kabillion and we’re sure the new series will be warmly embraced by the legions of Bratz fans and more.”
Casey Collins, EVP of global licensing at MGA Entertainment Licensing, said: “Kabillion’s carriage in over 40 million digital households enables us to enhance the Bratz experience for our fans everywhere and the new live-action series will reach not only the loyal Bratz fans but a whole new viewer base.”
Also joining Kabillion is the new Cabbage Patch Kids series, which will be available from August. The show encompasses a variety of entertainment mediums including CGI animation, live action and puppetry. Jakks Pacific is re-launching the classic dolls this autumn.
Deb Pierson, VP of sales and marketing for Kabillion said: “We are proud to add Xavier Roberts’ and Original Appalachian Artworks’ Cabbage Patch Kids to our roster of iconic brands. On Kabillion Girls Rule On Demand, Cabbage Patch Kids entertainment will reach over 40 million households through Comcast, Time Warner, Charter and other local MSOs. With new characters, great songs and lots of humor, our viewers are sure to catch the Cabbage Patch Kids craze.”
