Key brands lead the way in 2011 TOTY Awards

The nominees have been revealed for the US toy industry's Toy of the Year Awards 2011, with several licensed brands getting the nod.

Ben 10 Ultimate Alien (Turner CN Enterprises), Chuggington (Ludorum), Dinosaur Train (Jim Henson Company), Monster High (Mattel), Thomas & Friends (Hit) and Toy Story 3 (Disney) have all been nominated in the Property of the Year category.

In addition, licensed toys including Lego's Toy Story Western Train Chase, Tron: Legacy Zero Gravity Light Cycle (Disney/Spin Master), Hot Wheels R/C Stealth Rides (Mattel), Justin Bieber Music Video Collection Singing Figures (The Bridge Direct) and Dance Star Mickey (Fisher-Price) among others have been shortlisted in certain categories.

The winners will be announced at a special ceremony to open the 108th American International Toy Fair in New York on February 12th 2011.
