KidsCo - the joint venture channel owned by media companies NBC Universal, Cookie Jar Group and Corus Entertainment - has secured a deal with Korean content provider Iconix Entertainment for a raft of new children's programming to air on its Asia Pacific/Sub-Saharan African feed.
The agreement will see kids' shows including Nalong Fly to the Sky and Spheres launch on the channel from early 2009.
Iconic is a leading distributor of distinctive animation originating from Asia Pacific and also internationally. It also develops and co-produces animation and has won a clutch of international awards for its programming, which includes Pororo the Little Penguin.
In addition, KidsCo has also confirmed that the channel has now launched in Papua New Guinea following an agreement with local broadcast platform, Channel 8.
