Knockout Licensing to develop US licensing push for Finlayson

The popular Scandinavian design and fabric brand will move into home décor and paper products.

Helsinki-based 5th Wave Brands has appointed Knockout Licensing to launch and manage the licensing programme for Finlayson across the United States and Canada.

“Finlayson is the brand for Scandinavian fabric and design," said Tamra Knepfer, president, Knockout Licensing.

"Given the growing popularity of the Scandinavian aesthetic in the US and Canada, particularly across home, apparel, and accessories, we are fortunate to be able to license Finlayson’s best-selling designs, as well as other selections from their abundant archives including contemporary patterns and newly-created patterns.

“Working closely with Finlayson and using local trend research, licensees will be able to choose from curated design collections and classic perennial best-sellers. Finlayson represents nearly two centuries of design history and we are excited to be working with them and 5th Wave Brands to license this cherished brand in America for the first time ever."

Knockout plans to bring the Finlayson brand and its designs to a wide range of products including home furnishings and home décor, housewares, fashion accessories, gifts, paper products, and fabrics.
