Lemonade Stand activity is hit for Strawberry Shortcake

US volunteers host raft of special events to raise money for child cancer research charity.

American Greetings Properties and its Strawberry Shortcake character joined forces with Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF) to help raise national awareness and support fundraising efforts for childhood cancer research last month.

Together, they enlisted volunteers from across the US to host Strawberry Shortcake Alex's Lemonade Stands. Additionally, for every Strawberry Shortcake Lemonade Stand registered, American Greetings Properties, and CPLG, the global licensing agent for Strawberry Shortcake, contributed $50 to ALSF.

The programmes helped to raise more than $75,000, with all funds going to ALSF.
